The nation's most famous groundhog did not see his shadow Saturday morning, Feb. 2 and predicted an early spring.

That call came just after sunrise about an hour northeast of Pittsburgh.

We won't know if Phil got it right for at least a month, but in the coming days, at least, his prediction is going to look pretty good.

Temperatures will rise day-by-day through early next week, peaking with a high temperature in the mid 50s on Tuesday, Feb. 5.

Here's a day-by-day rundown:

Saturday, Feb. 2: Mostly sunny, with a high temperature around the freezing mark but the wind-chill factor between 5 and 15 with gusts up to 20 mph.

Sunday, Feb. 3: Mostly sunny, with a high around 40 and wind-chill values between 25 and 35.

Monday, Feb. 4: Warmer with calmer winds, with a high in the mid 40s and mostly sunny skies.

Tuesday, Feb. 5: Partly sunny, with a high around 55.

Wednesday, Feb. 6: Mostly sunny, with a high around 40.

Thursday, Feb. 7: A chance of a wintry mix before the temperature rises to the low 40s in the afternoon.
